    I did a comparison between Always and NotFixed…

    and not find any difference

    they all generate a temp file…

    [Always]

    [NotFixed]

    Am I understanding this setting wrong?

    You are using network drive \\NAS1. It is not fixed drive.

    TuneBrowser recognizes DRIVE_FIXED and DRIVE_RAMDISK as fixed drives. TuneBrowser assumes that these drives are fast and stably accessible.
